The Sharp X-60 was one of the more expensive
items that I felt I needed terribly... And after
about 1hr of searching the net I was able to buy
a refubished unit for $120. After recieving it I
found out that this unit had no problems at all
even the astethics were all in top notch
condition.
This unit is very good looking. The lights are
excellent although it does get a little bright
for my eyes at night, but thats not much of a
problem now that I found out that it had a dimmer
function. All the buttons on the unit are very
well placed and recording is at the touch of a
button.
As you probably already know this unit has
separate 3cds trays, 1 md slot, and 1 tape slot.
This makes recording mixes very easy because you
can select the songs you want to start recording
while you go do something else.
The recording is digital but only 1 speed but
that doesn't bother me that much. Titling/Editing
the MD is very easy as this unit has a jog dail
which helps a lot.
The sound quality is very very good. I love it.
It comes with 2 speakers with a total output of
80watts. Built into the unit is Bass Booster(X-
Bass), 5 equalizer presets, and this unit can get
very loud. I usually only have it set on 18
volume, but it can go up to 40.
The only complaint I have with this product is
that the remote is not well designed. It is very
hard to distinguish between the buttons as they
are all the same size and shape. Other than that
the X-60 was the ideal unit to begin with.
There are lots of other features that makes the X-
60 a great buy, such as clock display when the
unit is off, digital input, mic, headphone jacks,
20 tuner settings, AUX1/2/dig, one touch
recording between sources such as external, tape,
cd1/2/3, and tuner.
In my opinion I feel that this unit is great buy.
